We are so proud of our team. One of our core values at GHC is that our team is our family. These guys are here for each other day in, day out. We challenge you to find a better group of guys!

Guy Collier

Guy Collier

Director & Principal Builder

Master Builders Downs & Western 'Rising Star' 2017

Guy is the sole director of GHC Building Solutions and established the company with his wife, Holly, in early 2011. Guy has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years and has had a broad range of experience. He holds a Certificate IV in Building and Construction, Certificate III in Carpentry, and has completed courses in business management, asbestos removal and waterproofing.

Guy loves the challenge of running a business and considers himself very fortunate to be able to work in his local community. Having been born and raised in the Granite Belt, he knows the needs of the community well and is adept at communicating with clients — as well as navigating the local council requirements to ensure projects proceed on time and in the right manner.

Guy is the proud father of four children — Sam, Ruby, Georgie & Ned — who he enjoys spending time with. His other interests include golf, motorbikes, and shooting.

Ryan Williams

Ryan Williams

Site Supervisor

2017 MBA Apprentice of the Year Nominee

Ryan began his career as a school-based apprentice with GHC in 2013 and completed his Certificate III in Carpentry under Guy's meticulous training. He was nominated for the 2017 Master Builders' Apprentice of the Year — and his commitment to his trade and unfailing work ethic are to be commended.

Don't be fooled by Ryan's light-hearted humour and jovial nature — he's serious about what he does and has the skill to back him. Ryan has recently become a father, and he and his wife, Eden, are enjoying this new phase of life with little Rowan.

Ryan is one of our highly valued site supervisors and is a terrific leader and friend to those he works with.

Hamish Hamilton

Hamish Hamilton

Site Supervisor

2025 Mountain Station — Award Supervisor

Hamish has been with GHC since 2018, when he began his career as a fresh-faced apprentice. Fast forward eight years and Ham is now one of our most reliable and skilled members of the team.

In his role as Site Supervisor, Hamish oversees the jobs he works on, now helping to train the next wave of apprentices. Hamish is hard-working and a perfectionist — two traits that ensure any job under him is assured of outstanding quality.

He recently supervised and played a major role in coordinating work at the 2025 award-winning home 'Mountain Station'.

James Rowley

James Rowley

Carpenter

James is a skilled and dependable member of the GHC team, known for his calm, thoughtful approach on-site. He began his working life in the Australian Army, gaining valuable discipline and teamwork skills. Eventually, he discovered his passion for construction and began a carpentry apprenticeship with a builder in Warwick.

James joined GHC at the beginning of 2025, and we're thrilled to have him as part of our crew. His level head, patience, and strong work ethic make him a valued team member on every project. Outside of work, James enjoys life in the Southern Downs with his wife, Isabelle, and their two young daughters.

Lachlan Rigden

Lachlan Rigden

Apprentice Carpenter

Lachlan is heading toward his third year of his Apprenticeship with GHC. Beginning as a school-based apprentice, Lachie then traded in his books for a nail bag and hasn't looked back.

We're thrilled with how Lachie is progressing in his trade and look forward to seeing him continue his apprenticeship and become a quality chippy!

Stephen O'Gorman

Stephen O'Gorman

Labourer

GHC has an unofficial policy of always keeping an Irishman on the team. When we sadly had to farewell Murph as he headed home, we quickly replaced him with Steve, who hails from Limerick. His accent is thicker than Murph's, so it's hard to tell if his jokes are as good — but he always brings a smile and plenty of enthusiasm to the job.

In all honesty, since he started with us in 2020, Stephen has become indispensable.

Ethan Stead

Ethan Stead

Apprentice Carpenter

Ethan came on board in mid-2024 as a mature-aged apprentice, bringing with him a strong work ethic and a fresh perspective. Having grown up on the land and working in his family's farming business, Ethan developed a hands-on approach, a can-do attitude, and a natural sense of responsibility — all of which translate seamlessly to life on the job site.

He's a pleasure to work with: motivated, reliable, and always willing to lend a hand. Ethan has quickly become a valued part of the GHC team, and we look forward to seeing his skills continue to grow.
